RIP Oscar Peterson
Although not usually a forum for jazz music, I take this occasion for an exception, the passing of one of the world's great pianists, brilliant composer and technical musician, Oscar Peterson, protege of Art Tatum, who dies this Christmas Eve at the age of 82.  It was my great privilege to hear him play in concert and meet him in person, last year during his last tour, where despite having suffered a stroke partially paralyzing his left hand, he still gave an incredible performance and I would have hardly guessed anything was amiss.

Rest In Peace, Oscar.

Thanks, Adrian.

I'm afraid I let Max Roach's passing go without comment, up to now, prompted by your post.

Best regards,
Paul S
