The Occult Timothy Leary: Interview

I grew up in high school listening intently to a SoCal Alternative Rock radio station (KROQ). When I went to college, I continued expanding my intellectual horizons on the side by listening to increasingly radical music, as well as getting into high end home audio and speaker building. By 1996, my good friends convinced me to go on an intellectual personal exploration sabbatical to grow and then return back to school. I had never had a single psychedelic experience by age 25 and my friends encouraged me to do it full tilt and move to the Bay Area. In the pacific northwest and bay area, I interacted with hundreds of drug-addled white Visionary humans for exactly three years. I created informal opportunities to interact with some well known and unknown visionaries who are all interconnected in that culture through various 'organizations'. During that time, I chose to expose myself to their alternative trance music while on high quality drugs. Instinctively, I knew the decibel levels were going to hinder my longstanding personal interest in music appreciation. However, I defended myself by installing high quality hearing protection so that I could relax while talking to people who didn't believe in hearing protection.

When I returned to college, I had my hearing tested professionally and the objective test results were surprisingly good. I continued going deeper into my audiophile hobby and eventually met Dr. Bruce Edgar, his family, Rich Drysdale, Steven F. Schell, etc (Southern California Horn Group). While finishing my degree and afterwards, I began helping these people in their evaluations of their systems.
