Hi Paul,It's more a buzz than a hum. It buzzes when I put either amp on. ie: at ~30% load. I have not tried other loads since I don't know what would be a appropriate load to test it with other than audio equipment, of which I have nothing other than...

Is anyone using their Purepower unit with Power amps? If yes, what load? I hear loud buzzing when I plug in my tube amps - each uses about 30% load on the PP. AM wondering if this is an issue with my amps power supply or the PP or my mains voltage.Th...

Not sure if SLA batteries can be charged and used at the same time. After all there are just two wires connected to the battery and voltage will either flow to or from the batteries. Not 100% sure about this but I think it's right....

Hello Romy,At what load do you normally run the PP? What does the load meter show? I have found that the noise increases with load.Even with no load there is a slight sound, audible only if I put my ear very close to the unit....
