Funny thing is that recently I had 4 Walker Proscuitto owners buy Technics SP-10mk3 motor units from me in a matter of 2 weeks. I think a guy in the states, who had said Walker TT, also created a plinth for the Technics and it happily put the Proscui...

Hi RomyI was recently offered two of these turntables...apparently in full working order with all the 'expensive' upgrades.PaulS tells me they are a real pain!Do you have experiences with them?ThanksRichard...

Just a quick question. There has been mention of the forces in the groove during play. Out of interest how strong are these forces?...

If the platter was fully levitated then it would essentially become the plinth. Choice of material/s would then be the key issue. When I used to work in robotics research my colleagues began to check out high temperature superconducting (HTS) bearings...

How would you go about this?If the platter was massive you would need some very strong magnets? Therefore the platter would have to be quite deep so the magnets fields did not interfere with the cartridge. Would you manufacture the platter out of non-...

Yes we're creating the ultimate turntable so why not.''So can you
imagine adding to a tonearm a function to catching the proximity from
the center and dynamically reset the anti-scatting? How about automated
tonearm’s vertical excursion to compens...

Quick reply. Would the ultimate turntable also take into account mis-centred records like the Nakamichi TX-1000?Remember it had a sensor arm that rose up out of the chassis to read how far 'out' the centre of the record was.I had one...nice to watch....

Hi Romy and GuyI've been checking out various plinths for my new DIY project. The project's base is a Technics Sp-10mk3 motor unit. When you say a materials 'frustration' I guess you mean the choice of alloy and the quality of the casting? Inproper ca...

HiWell I am fairly new to active speakers. I've been in contact with Merlin and Guy in the UK about these type of speakers and their experiences. I'm just taking it all in and then going forward making a few mistakes and then learning about them!&nbs...

before...and i know one or two names so it seems. My post was just to introduce myself, apologies if it was off-topic...
