I believe speakers fall into 2 categories -- to serve personal preference, or to serve content of the source. If it's designed to serve the content of the source then it shouldn't have any adjustments. On the other hand, if it's purpose is to serve...

For 25K I'd use 10-15K to acoustic treat the sound room and rest for the speaker......
