Would YO 186 be appropriate to use in "fundamental" chanel? Over narrower band width, to color, "spice," "flavor" more? --Don't know why I'm even asking, the YO 186 seems to be scarce as hen's teeth, totally unavailable, I'll probably never see any...

I can’t say anything about YO-186. It looks like it is fine
and the bias voltage or plate current did not move since I started to use it. I
do not know how YO-186 edges however, it might be possible that she loose the cathode
emission while holdin...

Okay, I think I understand.... and thanks for the link on the YO-186... if I can ever locate some of these I'll be sure to grab some (hmmm, a trip to Russia perhaps). As tubes get very hot internally, there were some procedures for trying to eliminat...
