I forgot to add the reference of the PrimaryControl tonearm....

Not a refrigerator but a serious output transformer. This is from the new Audio Note (UK) Ultra Amplifier, something here and here.Cheers!...

"PrimaryControl is
presenting a new bearing technology, the world’s first field coil loaded
unipivot tonearm. This technique provides high torsional stability and a
low moment of inertia for the tonearm. Bearing chatter...

I do not have any Linux box anymore, unless you consider an Android smartphone as a Linux box. However, if you wanna play with the kernel and are seeking low latency, you better go with a patched kernel: you will need the rt (real-time) patches and p...

Hi,It is not about bit-perfect thing but a practical one.The Mopidy is just a server like MPD however it is being made to support plugins. I did not dig into it yet and I do not know the plugins currently available but Spotify and Soundcloud what are...

Amir,It may interest you: https://www.mopidy.com/Cheers!...

I saw some videos of that system some time ago.One thing about GOTO, they ended the production of the SG146xxx driver, what probably was their most interesting driver...Cheers!...

With that big horn covering such large frequency range I feel there would have a hole in the mid-range, or in the upper-bass. Not that I am supposing the information is not there, but it should not to be in there with reasonable "quality".I had not i...

There are some generic information at Mono and Stereo site....

Tune Audio is launching new horns at Munich, Avaton. Unfortunately the HF channels are not time aligned:EDIT: if Tune Audio eventually add a physically aligned MF and align the HF channels, it would be very interesting for me because the Avaton would...
|
Amir,If you are looking for a transparent DAC and it could have a built-in preamp, you may want to take a look on:Merging + NadacNadac Player, same but with a built-in music server (or something).I did not listened to them, but at least their Pro Aud...

It is just a you tube video but:Goto Unit SG17PVC VS ALE Acoustic X1750 (SUPER TWEETERS TEST)...

A curious tonearm from Klaudio, video (prototype?) and another video....

Are you running that script on the fly? If you are concerned with added load that script add in a lot more load than the flac decompression....
|
Amir, I did an update in the previous post. Why using so old mpd? The current mpd version is 0.20.6!...
|
Amir,Anything running in a computer add something to the total load of the computer. The flac decompression is negligible, unless you are using something über low powered - better read quite old. It should not add much more than 1% load to just one o...

Not whiling to try to force you into anything but LampzatOr also have true R2R, as option on some models and default on the top one (Golden Gate). Not to say you can do tube rolling and adapt the sound to your mood. You could make a call to Lukas and ...
|
For the record, and wide talking, the LampizatOr sound is on the same boat of Audio Note (UK)....
|
Amir,Do you like LampzatOr? You can ever ask them for custom made one, hardware and/or voicing. So you will have with something sounding (exactly?) how you want it to sound.IMO, custom made always bring the best result....

I am not surprised this kind of bizarre affirmation coming from a guy whom aim to live of royalties from copyrighted material.WAV or WAVE (aka Audio for Windows) is owned by Microsoft and IBM, and AIFF is owned by Apple Inc.I do not know the current ...

I do not use USB audio and so I cannot comment on its quality properly. There are also others objectives going on this thread about the Amir Alix project aside of audio quality, like the usability provided by Rune Audio and/or Volumio, and the mainten...

NetBSD have a lot of specific optimizations for embedded systems, including several ones to reduce the wear flash cards, for instance. It is also more stable and have a more sane update/upgrade schedule, and it uses OSS by default. You can also have ...

You can run RuneAudio on anything Linux. You would just basically need to get the config files and put it on the right place. To run the nice Rune interface, what basically is a php website, you would just need to install some very light webserver ...

You can try: https://www.ap-linux.com/ instead. I think there is not anything special on Voyager, it is just tweaked to use very little space what is not a problem on that board. You can easily find a CompactFlash card with 64GB, what is a lot more m...

I find it a bit exaggerated. I rather prefer Ekornes: http://www.ekornes.com/us/home-theaterhttp://www.ekornes.com/us/stressless-recliners...

OSS over ALSA everyday, specially the FreeBSD implementation. The only issue with OSS is the lack of drivers, there are very little drivers when compared to ALSA.Pulse Audio is purely crap and almost useless, or complete useless if you compare it wit...

And then there is this guy on Youtube, I think he sell this kind opf stuff:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65ln3YUkUXUhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDpoB2mayb4...

Here is the update as recommended by RomyTheCat, the listening position is about 4 m from the upper-bass (I think it may work depending on how the >50 Hz mouth end up) and I also become creative with the bar. :-)Do someone eventually know what wou...
