Jarek, you may remember that my own DAC is battery powered, so in that sense, the DAC gound is "floating" relative to the supply end. At the same time, I have had a dedicated system ground for at least the past 30 years. The ground (but not the neutral wire) of my CD transport AC is lifted. I use standard RCA Moray James IC from transport to DAC and I used Bud Purvine's Litz cables from the DAC to my (passive) TVC attenuator. This means any "stray" current is referenced to chasses via IC "returns" to the dedicated ground. I only have one input on my TVC; no switching. When the DAC IC are physically connected to the TVC, the phono IC are not, and vice-versa; it's either/or. As I have mentioned before, the best AC I have "heard" ran all 3 lines continuously (no breaks) between the equipment to the breaker box, along with a bleeder ground. If I owned the house I live in, I would have dedicated AC lines along with the bleeder. It did not take me long to decide to go to battery power for my own DAC. As I have shared, the DAC PS is based on 12V, with output comparable to my AC powered phono stage.
