Just a last comment, since you did not ask for it. This entire notion in audio—that engineers in the past knew what they were doing, and therefore it voids our responsibility to make decisions—is, in my view, quite an ugly notion in audio and in epistemology generally. It hides the true reasons for successes and failures and introduces a belief system, a religion, an artificial rationality in which we agree to believe without conscientious understanding.Rerurn to Romy the Cat's Site
