Wojtek, I kissed off the idea of reproducing someone else's system with a pile of parts many years ago, and my own process has long included "adapting" the stuff I drag into the house, to get as much of what I actually want as I can. I think I told that I had some idea (based on experience) what the Loudspeakers would do, and I had ideas going in how I would implement them, based on experience. You are right that I was basically lucky to get any semblance of what I wanted to begin with, starting from a kit build, but I was not drawing for an inside straight. And I certainly have not always been so lucky with other stuff I've tried. I could open a store selling the stuff that did not work for me. On the other hand, playing with all that stuff taught me things I might not have learned without the experience. Like I keep saying, if one doesn't hear it, or one just doesn't care, it doesn't matter. I wish everyone luck and happy listening through 2026.
